Under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) requires that equipment provided for use at work is used only by people who have received adequate information, instruction and training.
It encompasses a wide spectrum of safety related issues where employers are obliged to undertake their “duty of care”. Employers are accountable to demonstrate that the proper skills and knowledge are in place to ensure the safety of both the general public and employees.
Professional training of staff and operators will demonstrate this. In the event of unforeseeable accidents employers are requested to provide sufficient evidence that operators have received adequate competence training.
Safety training is essential to prevent accidents and PAS are here to help our safety training courses not only ensure that as the employer you comply with current legislation but also educate your workforce with the necessary competence, skills, information and certifi cation to erect and operate equipment safely.
