What training is required to use a machine?
It is the responsibility of the hiring company to ensure that their operators are suitably trained and familiarised. At PAS we can offer IPAF training for all machines. Simply get in touch to discuss, we can also arrange at short notice.

Do you supply road legal telehandlers?
The majority of our fleet of telehandlers are fitted with number plates. At the point of order, just let us know and we will advise of the tax charge and arrange for the machine to be delivered ready to go onto the public highway.

I have hired a machine but want to keep it for another site, can you move it?
Of course we can! Just get in touch and we will arrange this.

I have opted for auto off hire-When does the hire actually end?
Your hire will terminate at 5:30pm on the day of auto off hire. We can extend the hire should you require, just let us know.

I need delivery and collection on the same day, can you help?
Yes we can! All that we ask is that you allow 48 hours notice so that we can arrange our transport to accommodate.

Why should I use PAS as my supplier of powered access and forks?

Can I extend my hire?
Of course, please just let us know in writing as soon as possible and we will sort the rest!

What pressure goes into the tyres on my machine?
The majority of our machines are equipped with solid or foam filled tyres. For those that do not, every machine is supplied with a user guide which contains this information. You can also pick up the phone for any help or advice.

Can I suspend my hire as the site i'm working on have stopped work for a short period?
We understand that sometimes sites have small hiccups and set backs. In extreme circumstances, we can suspend a hire until work can be recommenced. We simply shut down the machine remotely for safety and security.

Do your machines run on HVO fuel?
The majority of our machines can be supplied and ran using HVO fuel. Just let us know at the point of order and we will ensure that the machine arrives with the correct fuel. We can also supply fuel bowsers for your site.

Where do you deliver to?
Thanks to our large delivery fleet and strategically placed depots, PAS can supply UK wide. We also have a network of trusted partners and suppliers so what ever you need PAS can help!

Do your machines have telematics/trackers and can I get access?
Yes! 99% of our machines are equipped with telematics. At point of order, just let us know and we will enable the system. We can also supply a customer login so that you can have access to see important information such as where the machine is, how long it is being used for etc.

Can I use the machine at a weekend?
Our standard weekly hire is 8-5:30 Monday to Friday, weekend use is permitted but please let us know at the point of order. This helps us to ensure that we have suitable staff on standby if any technical support is required.

What do I do in the event of a breakdown?
Thanks to our very young fleet age we don't encounter many issues. However, we understand the urgency when an issue is encountered. We endeavor to attend site and get you back up and running within 4 hours from the point of call.

How long can I hire a machine for?
From one day to permanently! Just get in touch with us with your requirements, we can offer contract hire also for lengthier hires.

How do I charge an electric machine?
The standard charger requirement is 110v, we can supply our machines with 240v also when required. Just let us know at the point of order and we will advise. As a rule of thumb, for smaller machines the minimum transformer requirement is 3.5kva continuous when using 110v.
